Surprise celebrating!!

This past weekend was filled with lots of celebrating for us and we had a blast! Jaye's birthday is on Feb. 14th (Valentine's Day) and this year I thought it'd be fun to surprise him with dinner at Miyabi (one of our favorites) with all his favorite people. I pulled off the surprise (he had no clue) and we had a really fun night! Unfortunately, I didn't get a big group picture, but here are some of our little family from dinner.

After dinner, we had everyone over for dessert at our place and completed the surprises with Jaye's gift...his Storm Trooper armor. Jaye has wanted armor for a long time now and he can't wait to start doing charity events with the 501st once he gets it all built and pieced together! Keep reading for pictures of Jaye unveiling his armor!!!

Here's Jaye with his gifts...he was clueless about what was inside! We'd all been planning this since September and were so anxious for him to open his gifts!

 


He had no idea...

 

His armor came in LOTS of pieces. He'll have to get together with his cousin Todd to custom fit and build the suit.

He will be one good looking Storm Trooper!!!

 

Jaye's new Mariachi, I mean Storm Trooper, boots!

No Storm Trooper is complete without their blaster. This will get spray-painted black eventually.

We will keep you posted with pictures of the progress and of Jaye's adventures as a Storm Trooper!! Maybe he needs his own blog category!!!

Life With Hope

    Are we there yet? Are we at our new house yet?!?!

    Tomorrow is moving day and if I keep moving, we will be ready. Jaye got the TV/video game stuff and computer packed last night and the rest is up to me...I packed some after work last night and have loaded up some boxes today, but the stuff is never-ending! Ugh! Hope and I took a carload to the new house this morning and thanks to my new laser level, I got curtain rods up. I also managed to get child-proof latches on our kitchen cupboards while Hope played. We had a good morning playing at the new house and I am loving having a playroom for Hope! 

    The crew comes at 9am tomorrow and I am hoping we'll be unloaded at the new house by 3....we shall see. Is it bad that I'm already wishing it were a few weeks from now so we could be unpacked and settled?!?! I am very excited to live at our new house and for a home of our own, but this packing stuff has really gotten to me and I am so over it.
